Reserve This Room

Each room is for use by small groups of four (4) or fewer. Max two (2) hours per group per day.

This space is designated a Quiet Conversation Area.

If you're having trouble getting the monitor to connect to your laptop using the HMDI cable,
please use the attached adapter to connect.

Getting Started in the Collaboration Rooms

Each Collaboration Room includes a 50-inch display with an HDMI connection and a Logitech webcam with a USB connection.

How to Connect Your Laptop to the Display

  1. Connect the HDMI cable to your laptop. If your computer doesn't have an HDMI port, use the attached adapter to turn the HDMI cable to USB-C. You will likely need to use the adapter if you're using Apple products.
  2. Turn on the display through the remote. If you can't find the remote or it doesn't work, turn it on by using a round-shaped switch on the back.
  3. Now, you should be able to see your laptop connected to the display. If the monitor keeps showing a black screen, you can check two things.
    • Make sure the display is set to HDMI 1. You can control it through the remote.
    • Check if the HDMI cable is connected to the port on the wall. You can see it under the table.

How to Connect the Webcam to Your Laptop

  1. There is a USB-A cable along with the HDMI cable. Make sure it is connected to the port on the wall.
  2. Connect the USB-A cable to your laptop.
  3. Go to your app settings. Select the Logitech MeetUp option in your video settings and the Echo Canceling Speakerphone (Logitech Meetup) option in your audio settings. Be aware that each app has a different setting procedure. For example, in the Windows 11 Camera app, you need to click the "Change Camera" icon on the top right side to switch the camera.
  4. The room includes a Logitech remote that can be used to control the webcam manually.
    • The directional pad in the middle can be used to move the camera while connected to the laptop.
    • The webcam is a smart one and will tend to move and zoom in and out on its own.
    • Use the +/- options on the remote to manually zoom in and out.
    • Hitting the home button will reorient the camera.
  5. If you're having trouble getting the monitor to connect to your laptop using the HMDI cable, please use the attached adapter to connect.
