Ariel is new to UMKC and Kansas City. She was born and raised in Macon, Georgia, nearly 800 miles away! She moved out here with her five spoiled, rambunctious cats. In her spare time, Ariel likes to watch anime and Kdramas, read manga and fantasy novels, and scroll TikTok.
Q1: What is your all-time favorite book and why?
My favorite book is The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. It speaks volumes about depression, isolation, and feeling "other" compared to those around us. Last year, I got a beetle tattoo because I love that book so much!
Q2: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation. I love to travel and there are so many interesting places I want to visit, but traveling is so expensive!
Q3: What is your hidden talent?
I can juggle!
Q4: What never fails to make you laugh?
Watching my cats chase each other around the house or play with their (many) toys.
