Westlaw Edge's American Law Reports (ALR) is a godsend to any researcher who wants to not only find a paper topic, but to have a map to their prospective research.  Essentially, ALR is like a law review, in that it comes out chronologically, but it is updated, and is encyclopedic in coverage.  It will have a case or sometimes a statute which serves as the springboard for the article, which is written by an authority on the subject.  Besides the article (also called annotations) are case annotations, suggested Westlaw Topic and Key Numbers, important cases from different jurisdictions, cross references to other works, and suggested Westlaw Edge searches.  To view a video on how to use ALR, see below:
