Definition:

Consider the following:

  • Does it stipulate that future works are offered the same contract? Or does it allow for the terms on future works to be negotiated at the time of submission?
  • Does it require that the publisher decide whether to purchase future works within a set period of time following submission of the manuscript?
  • Does it allow the author to refuse the publisher's offers on future works?
