The UMKC Libraries celebrate Black History Month with the annual African American Read-In and a display of works from our collections by African American authors.
The African American Read-In is a celebration of African American literature and literacy. Participants read excerpts from poetry, speeches, stories, songs, and other works created by African American authors and artists. Attendees are welcome to listen, reflect, and enjoy the presentations.
