Use this guide to find information about primary resources and how to access them through the Library and on the Web. The resources listed in this guide will help you identify primary sources, figure out how to locate them and offer you a list of repositories in the Kansas City metropolitan area. If you can't find what you need, contact me via phone or email (see profile box).

Primary Resources:

  • have the character of origin or 'firstness'
  • are not limited to unpublished materials
  • are those sources which secondary sources interpret and upon which they are built

Microform Collections

The library's microfilm, microfiche, and microcard collection includes government documents, newspapers, and periodicals. All subjects are covered, including much history. To search the collection, used the catalog's Advanced Search form. Enter search terms, then limit to Microforms under "Material Type."
