Prisoner Pro Se Office  

• The Prisoner Pro Se Office is responsible for managing cases filed by people who are not represented by counsel and who are either incarcerated or on parole. Most cases involve either civil rights complaints or habeas corpus petitions. Court-approved forms for filing those types of cases are available on-line. The Prisoner Pro Se Office is staffed by an administrative assistant and by three attorneys. The office telephone number is 816- 512-5090 and the office fax number is 816- 512-5099.

Probation & Pretrial Services Office 

The mission at the United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office for the Western District of Missouri to facilitate the administration of justice, make communities safer, and bring about long-term positive change in the individuals under supervision. This is accomplished by:

• providing the Court with thorough, accurate, and objective information upon which to base bond and sentencing decisions;
• protecting our community by monitoring defendants and offenders and enforcing court orders; and
• addressing the needs of defendants and offenders through continuity of services and effective use of community resources
