  • MedPix Radiology Teaching Site.  This is a fairly comprehensive image and teaching site developed by a faculty member of the  Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, Uniformed Services of the University Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD. You can ask for information in stages from quiz mode by organ system and ages, can view patient history and the radiograph.  Then you click on diagnosis.  Note:  The database design is patented and some content is copyrighted.  Access is free and physicians can obtain Category 1 CME credit by studying the cases.

  • CTisus. Teaching files and learning modules on body CT (Computed tomography) started by Elliot Fishman, MD at the Johns Hopkins University Department of Radiology. The work intends to inform radiologists and other healthcare professionals about clinical, technological, and practice issues related to CT. Kept up to date and refreshed on a regular basis.

  •  http://www.meddean.luc.edu/Lumen/meded/Radio/curriculum/Pulmonary/Structure_Thorax_f.htm   This is an excellent interactive teaching site provided by medical faculty at the Loyola University Medical Education Network.  It lets you explore the anatomical features of chest PA and lateral x-rays and of CT images.  Then you can click the image to see the findings labeled.

  • Radiologic Anatomy.  Alcantara AL & Nguyen H et al.   Wayne State University.  http://www.med.wayne.edu/diagradiology/Anatomy_Modules/Page1.html This is a helpful teaching tool developed by faculty at Wayne State University that identifies anatomical structures on computed tomography images.
