Publication Agreement Language

This guide provides some questions and language to consider when reading through and negotiating a publication agreement.

  • Date the manuscript is due

  • Form of manuscript required (hard copy, disk, etc.)

  • Format specifications (margins, one-sided, etc.)

  • List of expected supplementary materials

Consider the following:

  • Does it outline the expectations of who will pay for supplementary materials?
