The Avalon Project

Yale Law's repository for documents in law, history, and diplomacy. Includes items from 4000 B.C.E to the present.

Presidential Speeches

Transcripts of speeches given by every American president, plus audio of recent speeches from UVA.

National Archives: Access to Archival Databases

Displays records of current and historical interest in searchable categories such as Labor Unions, Government Contracts, Diplomatic Records, and Military Personnel.

Internet Archive

The Wayback Machine feature is especially useful for current primary source research dealing with websites. It catalogs and preserves inactive links and sites for posterity.

The Internet Archive also hosts millions of free books, movies, websites, and music of enduring historical value.
