Although the pandemic has greatly limited access to primary resources at The National WWI Museum and Memorial, it is possible to access a limited number of items through the museum's online exhibition portal located in the Online Learning section of the organization's website.

The Linda Hall Library of Science, Engineering, and Technology is a surprisingly good source for World War I-related primary resources such as government documents written during the war. Search their catalog, then limit by the author/creator and dates to find these resources.

Kansas Historical Society Military Records: World War I
Located in Topeka, Kansas, the Kansas Historical Society has an online index to World War I soldiers' military records and discharge papers. You can search this index for free from anywhere in the country. The archive also includes manuscripts and other records for various military campaigns and time periods.
