Mindfulness in Medicine @UMKC

A repository of resources for connecting Health Care Practitioners to Mindfulness practices.

UMKC SOM is recognized as a Flourishing in Medicine Center of Excellence

 

Criteria for Centers of Excellence include:

  • Local leadership by one or more local individuals who has completed the MPIM Flourishing in Medicine Facilitator Training Workshop

  • Offering multi-day “core” workshops and shorter programs to address the needs of students, residents, faculty and/or community-based clinicians

  • Commitment to expanding the scope and reach of MPIM programs, and adapting programs to local needs

  • Commitment to working together with other MPIM faculty to share teaching materials and insights as appropriate

  • Commitment to evaluation of the educational programs that they direct and sharing their evaluation data with MPIM leadership.
