Evaluating Websites

The Internet has good stuff, but it is also full of unreliable information. Before you use a website for research, be sure you check out a few things:

  • Accuracy: Is the information correct?
  • Authority: Is the source trustworthy?
  • Currency: Is the information up to date?
  • Objectivity: Is the source biased?
  • Purpose: Why was the website created?
  • Relevance: Does the information meet your need?
