LibQUAL+ is a suite of services that helps library staff solicit, understand, and act upon users’ opinions of service quality. The program’s centerpiece is a rigorously tested Web-based, nationally-normed survey that helps library staff assess and improve library services. LibQUAL+ measures user perceptions of service quality in three dimensions: Affect of Service, Information Control, and Library as Place.
Affect of Service addresses how well library employees are delivering library service.
Information Control focuses on the libraries collections—physical and electronic—and online tools and Website the enables users to access needed resources.
Library as Place focuses on the adequacy of the library facilities.
