This guide gives tips on useful searching skills to expand Ovid Basic Medline searches. 

Includes clicking on terms in a Basic Ovid Medline article's "Complete Reference" section  to use them in an Advanced Medline Search.  Illustrates using the Unique Identifier Number from an Ovid search on PubMed to find related articles, add them to the clipboard, and to email PubMed search results.

Briefly illustrates using Google Scholar to find cited references.

Using my Single Sign On

Your UMKC Single Sign-On (SSO) account is a username and password that you use to login to the computers on and off of campus to access your accounts at UMKC.  Your username is often your UMKC e-mail address.   Use your Single Sign-On account to access library databases from home and access UMKC email. Visit the Exchange FAQ or any of the computer labs on campus to set up your account.
